The North Carolina Association of Volunteer Administration Board of Directors has started the process of recruiting a new Treasurer. Because of the unique duties and skills necessary for this position, we are not requiring this person be a member of NCAVA. We encourage interested members to apply or share with anyone they feel may be a good fit. The position is completely volunteer, but it is a great way to get leadership and non-profit board experience.
Position Information:
Organization: The North Carolina Association of Volunteer Administration is a non-profit, professional development, membership organization, governed by a volunteer board of directors. Members serve to link the resources of the state organization to local managers of volunteer programs across North Carolina. NCAVA is North Carolina's only statewide professional association for ALL volunteer managers. Our members range from those serving in 501(c)3 non-profit organizations, to those employed in local and state government, to individuals in the for-profit sector and everyone else in between. Our members do come from all walks of life, but all share a similar passion and dedication to the field of volunteer management.
Location: North Carolina or Remote if able to attend in-person meetings
Required Skills: The ideal candidate will have a background in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance.
Pay: None. This position is part of a volunteer board of directors.
Term: One Year
Time Commitment: The NCAVA Board meets once every month via Zoom except for one in-person meeting in October. Please refer to the full job description linked above.
